Gaborone

After an initially shy start the people of Gaborone shone in the limelight, the project will be in place again tonight at River walk next to Linga Longa.

Limelight: Saturday night is a live public art installation and video work by Sans façon travelling to a variety of cities since 2010.
For this work Sans façon create a different approach to city street lighting by replacing two existing street light heads with theatre spotlights, creating an invitation for passers-by to temporarily transform the street into a stage.

Limelight: Saturday night has been chosen to form part of a series of works commissioned to mark the launch of ARTISPHERE, a new cultural centre in Arlington,Virginia.
